RE: kitchen sink replacement
I've thought about it, usually when the pots too big for the sink, but when I'm done, that thought just goes down the proberbial drain with the suds. Take measurements and beat me to Home Depot/Lowes or any other home plumbing shop, and let us both know. Don't forget you have to change the drain to one outlet too.
RE: Refrigerator exhaust getting in coach
I don't know what to call the brown power other than burnt LP residue, whats the black stuff? soot fluffs? I put a piece of masking tape over the burner every spring, rap on the chimney a few times with a small stick, and then vacuum everything out in the burner area. That brown powder may be causing an improper flame, yellow not blue and maybe the black soot fluffs.
RE: Is this wired right?
Yes, upper one for the starting battery positive, lower one of the positve of the house battery. All negative battery posts to the frame.
RE: Is this wired right?
Ha, ha, spagetti... anyway, not your fault, but, the second nut down appears mostly brownish=rusty?, alternator input. The upper nut/stud provides +12V to the starting battery, the lowest nut/stud provides +12V to the "deep cycle" or house battery(ies) when the vehicle has the motor running. Hope this helps. I have never seen any of the nut/stud positions used for the negative side of a battery, might be wrong, but I doubt it.
RE: Is this wired right?
#1, looks like somebody threw a bowl of red spagetti at the isolator, electricians nightmare. Only suspecting, the yellow is the ignition to activate the isolator, the rusty nut is the alternator input and the extreme upper and lower are the positive output to each battery. If it is a positive ground type setup, then the whole isolator unit has to be mounted so that the case does not short out to ground, I think I see a screw holding it to the chassis. Each of the negative terminals on a "normal" negative ground system are grounded to the frame, none touch the isolator.
RE: Flat Tire Repair
Personally, I would not, in essence you're jacking up the one side of the trailer with one bolt as the weakest link, the bolt that goes through the yoke and into the bracket. When both tires are on the ground, there are three bolts holding up the weight, front shackle, the yoke bolt and the rear shackle. I know it's a bit more work getting the jack under the right spot, but, I'd hate to see it come crashing down.
RE: Flat Tire Repair
The spring pad is the spot where the leaf springs cross the axle, there are 2 "U" bolts holding a square plate on one side of the springs. The item you are referring to is called the "tandem axle yoke"
RE: Homemade Champion Generator Wheel & Stand Pic's
hey BJ
I was just wondering, what the GVWR is and if you ended up with 10% of the weight on the stands???
or did you just throw it together willy-nilly...:B:B:B
you might want to balance the wheels also, I am a firm believer in, if it turns it should be balanced...:)
Oh man, why is there coffee schnot on my keyboard? BTW, nice handy work, good to see there's still people that don't buy everything, but make their own.
RE: Honda generator Rust in Carb
I think someones got rust in their pants, namely the mech, it may have a bit of "varnish" in the carb, leftover dried gas, but rust...nah, don't think so unless someone peee'd in the tank.
RE: CB Antenna Mount for 07 Dodge Ram Truck
This is the new fender mount for 2004.5+ Dodge full size pick ups. Your other option is using a stake pocket mount that stick out sideways from the truck or the non grounded mount for fibreglass toppers, etc. http://www.walcottcb.com/product_info.php?cPath=293&products_id=1178
RE: Where next mud daubers?
For those who have the larger 1/4" square screening on top of the fridge vent, you might want to take a look up there and between the fins of the heat exchanger on the rear of the fridge. Between yellow jackets, hornets and mud daubers, I was busy for a while, now there's slightly smaller gauge screening up there and on the wall side vent for the fridge.
I also found the daubers leaving mud plops on the dash of the truck when the windows were open. I followed their trail into the A/C vents on the dash. Now I jam a piece of rolled up fiberglass mosquito screen between the window and the tracks to keep them out of the truck
RE: HID Headlights
For those interested in installing "Brite Boxes", be careful, there have been a number of them that have gone "up in smoke", I found this on one of the dodge truck sites.
Hmmm ... that doesn't sound good. I am a member of DodgeTalk.com and I will check there, however, if that was not the Dodge forum you were thinking of, can you let me know which board it was so I can do some searching for this information?
Thanks,
Don
I did a pretty exhaustive search on Turbo Diesel Register, dodgeforum, thedieselstop, and DodgeTalk for posts on problems with Brite Boxes, and I only found one post on TDR that mentioned any issues, and the OP essentially pulled his initial post since he apparently did not have the right box for his application, and that Innova had solved his issues by providing him with the correct parts.
I have also posted on DodgeTalk to see if anyone with a Dodge Ram using Brite Boxes has had any problems with them shorting-out or otherwise malfunctioning.
If I don't hear anything negative from that (or unless Fisherman or someone else can point me towards negative reports/posts on Brite Boxes in Dodges), I will likely go ahead and purchase a kit for my '07 3500.
Well for the life of me, I looked back too, I think it was on the TDR Register, but I can't search the site(won't let me), but there were a few posts with pictures included, showed a mess of scorched wires. Maybe they did have high wattage lamps conected. There were a few others that received "defective" units, maybe just a bad batch, who knows. I know I'm not impressed with the headlights on mine either('04.5 Ram) I wish I could strap the headlights off my old VW in there, they have a much better pattern on both low and high beam.

RE: Awning Vinyl Replacement
See the little spot above that says "Search", type in awning repair, go for 6 months. Here is one: http://www.rverscorner.com/articles/awning01.html
RE: brake won't adjust
If you don't see any threads on one half of the adjuster rod, that would indicate to me that it's screwed all the way "in" and has to go the other way to expand the brake shoe diameter. Your brake spoon tool may be just sliding off the star wheel adjuster, the two pieces of the adjuster may be seized together.
RE: Where to buy bathroom sink?
At the shoe store. :W Cut and paste the link into your internet browser, there are many more RV stores and suppliers out there.

RE: Bargman Light Sales Canada
I've looked hi and lo but can't find that particular model, how old is it. Are you looking for just the bracket?, maybe not available separately. I found the newer one, goes for $13.95 in Cookstown.http://www.go-rv.com/coast/do/catalog/page?dealerId=1742&pageNum=134&productId=17184
